Is Claude Code Better Than ChatGPT and Copilot? A Revolutionary AI Tool for Business and IT
AI That Can Truly Change How Companies Work
Today, we already have access to technology that can completely change how almost any business operates. And this is not only about software development, but also about everyday operational tasks.
I’m talking about Claude Code — a new tool from Anthropic that, in my opinion, can seriously disrupt the way companies automate work and use AI in practice.
In this episode, I’ll explain why Claude Code is more than just ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot, and how you can use it in your own business — not only for programming.
A Quick Introduction
Hi, my name is Kamil Tarczyński. On a daily basis, I help entrepreneurs use technology so their companies can work more efficiently and grow faster.
Welcome to the episode.
Let’s start with the basics: what exactly is Claude Code?
What Is Claude Code?
Claude Code is another tool from Anthropic, but it is not “just another chatbot for generating code.” It is an AI agent designed to work with code, automations, and entire technical projects.
It can help you build applications, AI agents, automations, and code-based solutions. The key difference lies in the details — Claude Code is neither a browser-based chat nor a classic coding copilot embedded in an editor.
A Terminal-Based Tool, Not Just a Chat Interface
Claude Code is a terminal-based tool. This means it can be used from virtually any terminal environment — a system terminal, a developer terminal, or directly inside coding workflows.
It also provides an SDK (Software Development Kit) that can be integrated into your own software, internal tools, or custom builders, allowing teams to use it as part of their daily workflow.
An Agent, Not a Simple Coding Assistant
What truly sets Claude Code apart is its agent-based approach. It behaves more like a technical lead or a project manager than a simple code generator.
Claude Code can:
- analyze very large codebases,
- understand dependencies between hundreds of files,
- explain what individual features do,
- plan changes,
- report on tasks,
- and execute work end to end.
It doesn’t blindly follow single commands. Instead, it works toward a defined goal.
Because it understands the broader context of a project, it enables real, meaningful changes — not just isolated edits that might break other parts of the system.
Claude Code vs ChatGPT and Copilot — What’s the Difference?
ChatGPT is excellent for generating code snippets or solving individual problems, usually in a browser or via API.
GitHub Copilot goes a step further by working directly inside editors like Visual Studio Code and considering a broader file context. Still, it remains an assistant.
Claude Code operates on a different level. It is an agent that can:
- read the entire project,
- understand its structure,
- propose changes,
- and implement them.
If you tell it, “Fix all issues in the payment module,” Claude Code can identify the problems, list them, suggest solutions, and attempt to implement them.
In simple terms:
Copilot is an assistant that executes commands.
Claude Code is a project manager who understands the entire project and carries out the work.
What Value Does This Bring to Business?
Faster Prototyping
With Claude Code, entire application prototypes can be built in hours or days instead of weeks.
Lower Development Costs
Claude Code can generate code, write end-to-end tests, update documentation, and analyze changes across the whole project. This significantly reduces development time and costs.
Higher Quality
By automatically generating tests, documentation, and validating changes across the codebase, solutions become more readable, more stable, and easier to maintain.
Access to Data and Context
Thanks to MCP (Model Context Protocol), Claude Code can connect to repositories, internal company systems, and data sources. It can learn how your organization works and adapt to your coding and operational style.
Claude Code Beyond Programming
Claude Code is not limited to software development.
It can generate reports, analyses, and business documents, and automate non-technical processes. Through MCP, it can connect to CRM systems, ERP platforms, and other services, pull data from them, correlate information, and produce meaningful outputs.
It also allows the creation of sub-agents specialized in tasks such as sales, marketing, or operational workflows.
Why This Is Not Just a Trend
AI is no longer just an assistant. It is becoming an executor.
Instead of giving AI single tasks, we give it goals. The AI analyzes the situation, plans the steps, and executes them.
According to Gartner, by 2026 up to 40% of business processes will be automated using agent-based AI approaches.
For companies, this means a new working model: humans and AI as real team members working together.
How You Can Use This Today
This is only the beginning of this evolution, and the technology is not yet perfect. But that is exactly why now is the right time to start experimenting.
Replace manual, repetitive processes with AI. Automate tasks that bring no real value. Focus less on specific tools and more on the mindset and approach.
Tools will continue to change. The approach will remain.
We have already seen companies where even small GenAI implementations removed 30–50% of repetitive work from employees. These people were not laid off — instead, they were freed to focus on creativity, higher-value tasks, and improving business results.
Final Thoughts
Claude Code is not just another Copilot. It is a preview of a new era in which AI not only assists, but understands context and acts independently.
You define the goal. Claude Code analyzes it, proposes steps, and executes them — within the digital world it has access to.
And that is the key difference worth paying attention to today.
