DAAS, the Client, has been providing support for various types of high-altitude work to major technology companies and general contractors of energy facilities and other industrial facilities for nearly 20 years.
The company recognized that there is a lack of dedicated solutions in the construction market that connect employers with the right workers. Most recruitment portals are not adapted to the specific needs of the industry, making the process of finding suitable job offers difficult. The client needed an intuitive, secure, and reliable solution to fill this gap in the market.
The project involved analysis, UX/UI design, web and mobile application development, as well as testing. It was completed in 3 months using the no-code platform - Bubble.

A sister application
Since the previously delivered RATapp fully met the client's expectations, they decided to base their next platform on similar functionalities, this time targeted at a different audience. Our task was to modify the existing solutions and adapt them to the needs of specialists in the construction industry.
UX Design

Due to the large number of interconnected functionalities, it was essential to precisely analyze the cause-and-effect process and rewrite the user flows before adapting them to the new version of the application.
Before implementing each new feature or update, we verified the logic of the solutions through detailed user flow diagrams, carefully assessing how each change would affect the existing system.
UI Design / Branding
Clear and intuitive
Challenges: clear presentation of a large number of tasks and their details, development of the application's logo.
The visual design was a slightly modified version of the RATapp interface. We used a palette of three main colors: orange, white and red, which are commonly associated with the construction industry. To break the raw and minimalist user interface and ensure optimal readability in all conditions and on any device, we chose Montserrat, a sans-serif font widely used in digital products.
To optimize time, once the assumptions were approved by the client, we prepared high-fidelity designs only for the sections and elements whose structure and functionalities differed from RATapp.
Our team was also responsible for creating the application's logo and actively participated in shaping the product name.
Development
The same, yet different
Our developers, based on the original version of the application and thorough consultations with the client, built a responsive desktop version as well as a mobile PWA.
Because the client wanted to quickly validate the concept and functionality of the application, increase accessibility among rope access technicians and keep production costs low, the mobile version of RATapp was created as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
A PWA allows a digital product to be easily adapted for mobile devices without the need to develop multiple native applications for different operating systems.
The biggest development challenge was effectively modifying the existing application's behavior while accounting for the relationships between individual features.
Tools and Integrations
The project was delivered 100% on the Bubble platform.
To fully personalize the user experience
To fully personalize the experience for users of the application, all system-generated messages are sent through the SendGrid platform.
QA
Before presenting any feature to the client, each implemented functionality was thoroughly tested by the QA team.
RATapp
The BESTbuilders application was created based on the previously delivered RATapp. This platform connects rope access technicians with companies that carry out high-altitude work and are looking for qualified specialists. You can read more about RATapp here.
Project Management
The main project management tool was ClickUp, supported by email communication and weekly status meetings. To ensure full transparency regarding project progress, all data, tasks, and both internal and external arrangements were accessible to the client throughout the entire development process.
